Proxy Purchasing & Shipments
We offer a service for purchasing and sending items from the Japanese market to those outside of the country. You can order items from Japanese retail websites or auction sites. We can also travel to brick-and-mortar locations and purchase items for you, which is useful for limited time only pop-up shops.
We cannot offer this service to Japanese residents or any other entity located within Japan.
Pricing
The client is responsible for all costs arising from the procurement of the item, including, but not limited to, the full retail or resale price of the item, local taxes, delivery costs, travel costs, and import and/or export tariffs.
There is a base fee of JPY 1,000 for each shipment. A shipment is defined as one unit sent via a shipping service. A shipment may contain up to three (3) individual purchases. Restrictions may apply if a single transaction consists of multiple physical items which require multiple shipments, or if the size of a given individual purchase will not allow for the inclusion of other items in a reasonably sized shipping container. Additional fees may apply for items with irregular sizes or shapes to account for specialized packing materials.
There is an additional fee of 3% for each payment transaction. This is to offset online payment processing and currency conversion costs.
Refund Policy
Motoi Productions does not issue refunds for any unsatisfactory outcome which does not arise directly from the handling of items while they are in our posession. Such circumstances for which a refund will not be issued include but are not limited to:
- item damaged during domestic shipping
- item damaged during international shipping
- items misrepresented by the selling party
- undesired items received where chance is involved (such as blind bags/boxes)
Refunds may be issued due to extraordinary circumstances but such circumstances shall be at the sole discretion of Motoi Productions.
Motoi Productions will make a good faith attempt, at the request of the user, to correct mistakes made by the selling party, but this may incur additional costs for the user. The cost of returned items will be refunded to the user, less any additional shipping expenses necessary for the return process. Service fees shall not be refunded in such cases.
Exchange Policy
Motoi Productions does not offer exchanges for items purchased through our services. Please be certain the item you are requesting is the correct one that you wish to purchase. Should there be item variations or options that have not been specified, we will refrain from purchasing the item until we have verified these details with you. Please provide as much information as possible when making a purchase so that we can expediently secure the item for you.
Payment Policy
An invoice will be issued to your email address within two business days of the receipt of one full batch of items. Please note that this does not include the time taken for domestic delivery. Payment must be received in full within 14 days of issue.
Payment for services is conducted via invoicing through a third party payment processor. Motoi Productions does not collect, retain, or have access to client payment information.
Delivery Policy
Items will be packaged and shipped within five business days of the full payment of issued invoice. We ship via Japan Post using the EMS service to ensure the items are insured and fully tracked. You will receive a tracking number via email at the time of shipment.
Privacy Policy
User information is stored on the Motoi Production internal network for the purposes of shipping and will never be sold or otherwise distributed to third parties beyond those necessary for completion of the service, such as international delivery services. User data is retained for up to six months beyond the date of the last purchase or shipment. Users may request what information we have retained within that period. Users may request that we remove all or part of their information before the end of the six month period if they so choose.

These services offered are provided on a service contract basis, agreed upon and signed by all involved parties. Information regarding pricing, delivery timelines, refunds, privacy policy, and all other details of the service shall be set forth within the contract.
